Lauren is a summa cum laude graduate from the University of South Carolina with a BA in Dance Performance and Choreography and a minor in Business Management. She has studied dance from the age of three and has danced competitively for many years. Lauren studied at International Ballet Academy under the direction of Vlada Kysselova, Hennadii Bespechnyi, and Carrie Moore. Lauren has studied tap under Broadway choreographer Shea Sullivan in New York, Alyson Badgett from North Carolina’s Miller Street Dance Academy as well as from numerous other tap choreographers. At the University of South Carolina Lauren studied under Stacey Calvert a soloist for New York City Ballet, and Kyra Strasberg, a former Principal for Boston Ballet. Lauren studied contemporary and modern under Thaddius and Tonya Wideman- Davis, former dancers of Lines, Joffrey Ballet, and directors of Wideman-Davis Dance. Lauren taught ballet and jazz for the University of South Carolina Dance conservatory as well as for several studios in SC. Lauren also teaches technique and choreographs for high school and collegiate dance teams. Outside of the studio Lauren spends time in the local swing dance and Lindy Hop community. Along with dancing, Lauren is very experienced in pageantry and placed first runner up to Miss South Carolina 2012 and 2014. She now coaches and choreographs talent routines for aspiring pageant contestants all over the country. Lauren is the owner and head teacher at Dance Designs Academy of Dance in Spartanburg, SC.
From Columbia, SC, Kyla Burwick began her dance training at 10 years old at Academy of Dance Arts (ADA), where she was a member of the Competing and Performing Dance Company. She trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, and tap. She was casted as the lead role in many productions, including Aurora in ADA’s production of Maleficent and received the Top Soloist award at Beyond The Stars dance competition. In 2016, she started her own summer dance camp for daycares in her area. She was a dance instructor at Teele School of Dance for the 2016-2017 dance season. She is currently a member of the Wofford Dance Team in Spartanburg.
Tianna has a physical education degree from Southern Wesleyan University where she ran Cross Country. She stays in shape with dance fitness. She is a middle school physical education teacher and our Zumba Instructor!
